Memories

At the end of Chapter 3, Nate tries to remember his parents, but can only remember certain features. Memories do have a way of fading over time. What is your first memory? Try to think back as far as you can. What do you remember from your early childhood? What details can you recall?

  3. I remember living in the old farmhouse that we lived in when I was born. We moved out when I was five-years-old, so I must have been very young to remember this house. I remember where my sister's and my room was and where my parent's room was. I also remember when my mother turned 30. We had a party for her in that old house in the kitchen. I was four when she turned 30. I just remember my mom, my sister and I sitting around our round kitchen table. I don't remember anything that was said or anything that we did, just that we were there.

  4. Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the book! One of my earliest memories is going to my grandmother's house. We lived in Miami, Florida and I simply loved grandma's backyard. It was full of citrus trees--oranges, grapefruits, lemons and sour oranges. There were also two huge mango trees that we loved to climb and usually got in trouble for it. I remember the rosemary bushes and carrots in a garden. I'm sure there were other vegetables but I only remember getting to pull out baby carrots, rinsing them in the hose and eating them right on the spot. YUM! There was also a tin shed way in the back. It probably had tools in it, but we (my brother and I)tried not to go back there becasue............that's where the Boogie Man lived!

  6. I remember when I was three and I was in pre-school. I brought a stuffed frog home and his name was Fredy and I slept with him. I also remember when I was three and I was in pre-school at the car ramp and I was sitting down and my brother was walking past me.

  7. Isn't it funny what our brains choose to remember? It sounds like we all have some happy memories!
